Northern Soul has been written for effect, purposely to pluck at the listener’s heartstrings, inspiring a moody atmosphere of melancholy, filled with synth arrangements and a strong bassline that have been wrapped around with vocals which make it seem like Richard Bedford is telling this tale first hand, nearly breaking into shivering tears as echoes fade in during the breakdown.
Northern Soul is THE ONE. The sound is terrific. It stands out on my iTunes library every time in terms of quality. Excellent surround experience, this one!
