World Away is a really dark, refreshing, and historic tune in the making. It makes me believe that I’ve been waiting my entire life for it. The tune is dreamy, floating me on a neo-psychedelic river of sound – it’s nearly impossible to describe something so pure.
On the surface, the music of World Away sounds simple, but it is anything but simple, the layering of synths, the building, the texturing and relationships of one sound playing off of another is nothing short of genius. Seldom does art meet music the way it does here, everything is accessible, yet somehow just out of reach… and that’s what keeps drawing me back for more. Of course it may be only Oliver’s voice that holds my attention… but I think not, I think it’s the completeness, the effortless quality and magic of the tune.
