Atomix – Reaching The Sky
Reaching The Sky is one of my favourite tunes of the year, and quite collectable (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise), particularly if you’re into a strain of contemporary dance music that brushes against academia, post-classical, systems music, and overarching abstraction, sometimes all at once (in a good way). Challenging listening to be sure, but damn rewarding, and expansive in its sonic outreach; here, everything counts in large amounts. Your ears might never be the same!
